Quality Policy

Austevoll Fiskeindustri AS understands the need to protect the fine quality of fish we buy so as to pass it onto our customers.

The Operations & Quality Control (QC) Departments at Austevoll Fiskeindustri are responsible for quality management at our production facility. Our Quality Controllers (QCs) ensures that the landings at our factory are looked after as carefully as possible to preserve the natural quality of our products.

It is the responsibility of both the Operations Manager and the Quality Manager to make sure the fish are suitable for the products produced and that the staffs are producing them to the correct specifications.

As the fish enter the factory, great care is taken to move them quickly through processing and into the freezing system, retaining optimum freshness and quality. Quality and weight checks are continuously taken during production so that we can achieve a consistent product.

All our production facility are covered by a HACCP system and we are constantly upgrading our quality management system to comply with the International Food Standard.

All our products will be supported by a traceability system (SEATRAQ).
